Le Métier de Beauté Limited-Edition Spring Haute House Hues Lip Creme Set: Photos, Swatches and Review

I was so delighted when my SA from Neiman Marcus texted me to let me know the newest Le Métier additions had arrived and were waiting for me at the counter.  The first thing I'm going to share with you from Le Métier's newest offerings is this beautiful Haute House Lip Creme Set in Tickled Pink.  This set is a collaboration from Le Métier and Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing.  It contains two lip creme colors in Two Lips and Mums The Word.

Here is what the Neiman Marcus website say's about the product:
For Spring 2012 Le Metier de Beaute is inspired by diverse influences, showcasing a range of styles and lifestyles, from free and playful and light and breezy, to contemporary classics.
Colors likewise reflect these differing moods, encapsulating vivid brights, soft muted tones and fun-loving pastels. From sensual and intense rosy-reds to a baby-doll, ballerina pinks®Pink is the haute hue of Spring 2012.
Gorgeous color with creamy texture and high shine, Lip Crème lip glosses have the color impact of a lipstick and the ease of a gloss.
Ultra-lightweight and enriched with intense emollients and antioxidants, Lip Crème Lip Gloss' unique, silky texture and easy-glide formula soothes and nourishes lips and is never heavy, sticky or tacky.

Two Lips
Two Lips is a shimmery golden peachy pink when swatched but once on the lips I really couldn't see the shimmer that much.  It also appeared much lighter once applied to my lips than swatched.  I don't think this color looks great on me, but I like the way it looks on my hand, lol.

Mums The Word

Mums The Word is a creamy fuchsia.

Here I layered both colors and got this gorgeous pink shade as a result.

I am really pleased over all with this set.  I thought the colors resembled my Butter London Lippy Colors in Trout Pout and Primrose Hill but they aren't quite the same and of course the Le Métier formula is superior to that of Butter London.  They smell and taste like strawberry milk shakes to me, yum!  They aren't sticky or tacky and they leave my lips feeling very soft and moisturized.  This would make a great Mother's Day Gift.  If you don't want to order online or if you don't have a counter near you,  call Aimee Gray at Neiman Marcus Ridgmar at 817-738-3581 x2014.

xoxo,
Adriana

  1. These are lovely. After reading another blog I was slightly turned off that Mums the Word resembles one of the lip colors in the Aurora Lip Kaleidoscope. However, I might still buy this, lol. =)

    1. LOL.. I don't have the Aurora Lip Kaleidoscope so I can't personally compare it. They really are lovely and feminine.
