Guerlain By Emilio Pucci Météorites Perles D’azur Illuminating Powder - Pure Radiance: Photos, Swatches and Review

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of waiting I got my hands on the new Limited Edition Guerlain by Emilio Pucci Météorites.  This is my first Météorites purchase so I wasn't sure what to expect.  The container it comes in feels like a tin jar and is in many shades of blue.  The pattern I'm sure was designed by the Pucci label but I don't have official press release information about the product.  My favorite blogger Pink Sith has good information about all the products in this collection on her site, click here to read.

Housed inside the beautifully designed jar are six different shades of Météorites.  They are safely tucked in with a sponge on top. Each shade is designed to correct, even and illuminate the complexion.

Here is what Sephora's website say's about the product:
What it is:
An illuminating powder that delivers pure radiance.

What it does:
These must-have multi-colored little pearls are adopting their new summer wardrobe encased in Pucci-adorned packaging. Météorites Perles D’azur is also enriched with a corrective blue pearl to create a flawless complexion. Formulated like the classic Météorites Perles, the Perles d’Azur beautifully adapts to the demands of the sun by combining six colors that even out and correct every skintone. The three effects include: corrective (blue and pink counter the yellow tones in tired complexions), skin-evening (beige and orange warm up the complexion and create an even tan, and illuminating (ivory and white gold are light reflectors without a whitening effect).

What else you need to know:
Guerlain and Emilio Pucci have created an exceptional collaboration between the two prestigious houses that draws inspiration from summertime in Italy. The guiding motif of this second collaboration was inspired by the iconic “Winter Capri” print taken from the archives of the Italian ready-to-wear brand. Exclusively re-colored for this collection, it adds a joyful and elegant Pucci touch to the Guerlain products.

To create the look above I used Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation in 250 Bisque (W), I applied it with my finger tips.  I then, took Guerlain by Emilio Pucci Powder Brush and applied Guerlain by Emilio Pucci Météorites all over the face and neck.  Next, I applied Laura Mercier eye primer in flax and used Guerlain Ecrin 4 couleurs eyeshadow palette in Capri.  I then, applied Guerlain Terracotta Khol Kajal in Blu Acqua to my lower lash line and water line.  Next, I filled my brows using Anastasia Brow Whiz in Brunette and set with clear brow gel.  I then, topped of my lashes with Mally Volumizing Mascara in Black.  After that, I contoured my face using Guerlain Terracotta Mozaic Tan Enhancing Bronzer and Terracotta Light 05 Sun Brunettes as a blush.  I then, highlighted my cheek bones, bridge of nose and cupids bow using Guerlain Terracotta Sun In The City  Golden Glimmer Powder. Finally I used Guerlain Kiss Kiss gloss in 821 Fraise A Croquer and then dabbed Kiss Kiss 869 Rose in Bloom to the center of the lips.

While the Météorites may seem shimmery in the jar, it does not translate that way to the face.  It leaves a beautiful soft finish.  It does have a strong flowery scent, but it doesn't linger once applied to the face.  Personally, I love the way all Guerlain products smell.  I applied the powder to the top of my hand since they have a lot of reddish tones to them and it made a big difference in the look of the hand I applied it to. I also applied it to my bare face without foundation and it did town down my redness and evened out my skin tone.  This powder will be replacing the finishing powder I am currently using, especially since it made my skin look better on camera. If you don't want to mess with loose pearls of powder, Guerlain offers a similar version in pressed form.

xoxo,
Adriana
