Cult Nails Divas and Drama Collection + Captivated: Photos, Swatches and Thoughts

I finally finished editing all my photos of the Cult Nails Divas and Drama Collection and I can share them with you now.  If you want information on how this collection was created please click on this link.  I also included a shade that was brought back called Captivated, it is not part of the Divas and Drama Collection.   So let's get into the pictures.
L-R:  Enticing, Scandalous, Manipulative, Seduction and Captivated.  (Captivated is not part of the collection)

Enticing is a sheer creamy delicate pink.  It reminds me of the chiffon wrap skirt I wore as a child in ballet class.  It's very clean looking and perfect for every day wear.  All photographs of Enticing are with two coats of polish.

All the pictures of Enticing above were taken indoors without flash.

These two pictures of Enticing were taken outdoors, without flash.

Scandalous is a sheer "jelly/creme" salmon color.  In all the photographs of Scandalous I am wearing two coats of polish.

Pictures of Scandalous above were all taken indoors without flash.

Outdoor photos of Scandalous, without flash.

Manipulative is a creamy blue/green with subtle iridescent shimmers.

All Manipulative photographs taken above were indoor shots, flash was not used.

The two photographs above were taken outdoors, no flash was used.

Seduction is a purple jelly base with what appear to be reddish/copper and blue flakes.

The photos of Seduction taken above were all indoor, without flash.

The photo above of Seduction was taken outdoors, without flash.

Captivated looks like a coral jelly based polish with gold and reddish glitter.

All the photos of Captivated above were taken indoors, no flash was used.

This photo of Captivated taken above was shot outdoors, flash was not used.

These two photos above are of Seduction and Captivated layered together.

This photo above is Scandalous layered with Seduction.

I really enjoyed playing with these nail polishes and seeing what color combinations would look good together.  Scandalous and Enticing are sheer and you need to use at least three coats to get them to hide your nail bed.  I don't mind having my nail beds exposed so that wasn't a problem for me and Maria the Owner and Creator of Cult Nails did describe them as sheer/jelly so they were exactly as I expected.  Captivated and Seduction blew me away and they were easy to layer, it didn't require a lot of work.  I was surprised how easy Seduction was to work with.  It wasn't thick like other polishes that have flecks and it didn't require any work to get even coverage.  Manipulative was my favorite of course, it's blue; need I say more.  I love the subtle shimmer in it, it just looks so elegant for a blue.  My only complaint was that sometimes the bottle tops come unglued from the brush when I open the polish and I have to screw them back and try again, very annoying when your paying $10 for polish.  I own other Cult Nails polishes and never had this problem before so I don't know if maybe Maria got a bad batch of tops.  I would have still bought them though even if I had known ahead of time that the tops would be hard to work with.

xoxo,
Adriana
